About rfp contracting Ltd
rfp contracting has it's roots in the latter part of the 19th century when a young bricklayer gathered his family together, put their belongings on a handcart, picked up his trowel and walked from Cambridge to London to find work on the then new St. Pancras railway station.
It is a different world now but this work ethic is reflected in a determination to provide the highest level of service to all our clients.
We use constantly evolving technology to manage our clients' instructions using Opus, our bespoke, in-house developed, works management system. Communicating with a highly motivated workforce using hand held devices.
Technology is a wonderful tool in this modern age, but like our ancestors trowel it is only as good as the people using it, and we invest heavily in ensuring that we have the right people in the right roles, who are customer focussed and trained to exacting standards, to ensure a service delivery second to none.
Our highly experienced management team bring with them a wealth of knowledge in all aspects of our service offering, and a deep understanding of the built environment, how it works, why it sometimes doesn’t and, more importantly what it takes to put it right.

News
In June 2020 there was a BBC documentary called Our Lives: Soul Boy, about a young man called Anthony Flavin who had been in care since the age of 6, and had discovered himself through a love for Northern Soul and the dance craze that surrounds it. One of our directors saw the show and felt deeply for this young man who had had a really tough life, he was about to become 18 and had never had a birthday party.
The programme featured a shop called Peters Shoes, and the proprietor Peter Bullock who sells high end British shoes and had taken Anthony under his wing. The programme saw Peter give Anthony a pair of shoes for his birthday party, so we thought wouldn’t it be nice if he had two pairs, so we contacted Peters and arranged for Anthony to receive a gift voucher to get himself and nice pair of shoes to compliment his Northern Soul moves. Thanks to Pete for doing the presentation and to Conor for making and editing the short film.
